Why is my screen fuzzy? - A quick fix!

If your TV shows a fuzzy, snowy, blue or black screen there are a few simple steps you can take to fix this. With your fuzzy or blue screen, you may also see a message “No Signal” or “Unusable Signal” on your screen—This just means your TV is not getting programming input for the tuned channel from your satellite or cable receiver.  If this was a Dish Satellite error, you would receiver an error message usually in a blue box with a number in the upper corner—if you do get this message, write down the number and the channel you were watching and time of day you receive this message and call customer support.  If you have Satellite TV or cable TV and have a receiver (satellite or cable box), first make sure this is turned on.  If you have determined that your receiver is turned on (with Dish Network satellite you will see a light on the box) make sure your TV is tuned to the correct channel; usually to channel 3 or one of the auxiliary inputs on your TV—especially if you have HDTV you may need to have your TV tuned to your HDMI input.  There is usually an input button both on your TV and your television remote.  If you are not sure where your input button is, consult your television manual.  If you have a Dish Network dual receiver (one receiver that services two televisions) your TV2 (usually the TV that does not have the receiver nearby) will usually be set to channel 60 or channel 73.  If none of these steps fix your issue, call customer service.  Dish Network customer service is available 24/7, 7 days a week.  In most cases, your issue can be resolved over the phone by tech support.
